A visa application can be submitted only by the Applicant him/herself
Please note : only applications for Visiting Family or Friends, Tourist and
Business visa's can be accepted at the Drop Box Centre
Applications accepted at the Swiss Drop Box Centre will be submitted on the
next working day to the Embassy of Switzerland for a decision. The visa
processing time is a minimum of 5working days provided that a complete
file is submitted. But, it may take longer in certain cases.
All visa decisions are solely at the discretion of the Embassy of Switzerland,

Applicants are strongly advised to track the status of their application
on our website after 4 days of submission before coming to collect
their passport at the Swiss Drop Box Centre.
Visas are normally dealt with within 5 working days except for the
nationals of countries marked below:
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Burundi, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Yemen,
Jordan, Kazakhstan, Dem. Rep. of Congo, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Nigeria,
Korea North, Pakistan, Philippines, Rwanda, Saudi-Arabia, Somalia, Sudan,
Surinam, Syria, Vietnam and Palestine.
In this case, please make your application well in advance (3 weeks MINIMUM, no
more than 90 days before travel) because the procedure takes a minimum 15
working days (3 weeks) for most of these countries.
Processed applications can also be returned by Special Delivery at an additional
cost of £7.40 (Inclusive of VAT) per application. This is an optional service.
Alternatively, you can provide your own Special Delivery envelope when
submitting your application.
Applicants have the option of paying their visa fees by Credit/Debit card (only
at the Drop Box Centre) Fees in Cash will also be accepted. Cheques will not be
accepted. All fees are non-refundable.
Along with the visa fees, there is a service charge of £24 (inclusive of VAT)
applicable per visa application.
Travellers with Diplomatic & Service Passports, Death & Emergencies may
submit their application between 11 - 12 hrs at The Embassy of Switzerland.
A coin-operated Photocopier and Photo Booth are available for your use at the
centre, should you require it.
