Applications accepted at the Swiss Visa Application Centre will be submitted on the
next working day to the Embassy of Switzerland for a decision. The visa
processing time is a minimum of 5 working days provided that a complete
file is submitted. But, it may take longer in certain cases.
All visa decisions are solely at the discretion of the Embassy of Switzerland,

Applicants are strongly advised to track the status of their application
on our website after 4 days of submission before coming to collect
their passport at the Swiss Visa Application Centre.
For the following nationals the visa processing takes up to 14 working days:
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burundi, Egypt (except diplomatic passport holders) Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Jordan, Kazakhstan (diplomatic passport only), Dem. Rep. of Congo, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Vietnam.
Processed applications can also be returned by Special Delivery at an additional
cost of £7.40 (Inclusive of VAT) per application. This is an optional service.
Alternatively, you can provide your own Special Delivery envelope when
submitting your application.
Applications submitted in Edinburgh will incur a mandatory courier charge of £ 14.80.
Applicants have the option of paying their visa fees by Credit/Debit card (only at the Visa Application Centre London) Fees in Cash will also be accepted. Cheques will not be accepted. All fees are non-refundable. All Fees (Visa, Service and Courier) for applications submitted in Edinburgh must be in the form of a Postal order only in favour of 'The Swiss visa Application Centre'
Along with the visa fees, there is a service charge of £24 (inclusive of VAT)
applicable per visa application.
Travellers with Diplomatic & Service Passports, Death & Emergencies may
submit their application between 11 - 12 hrs at The Embassy of Switzerland.
A coin-operated Photocopier and Photo Booth are available for your use at the
centre, should you require it.
